Evidence and dispute reports

The refund conversation starts with a file, not a feeling.

Ad platforms review invalid-activity claims on specifics. Maddet writes those specifics down at the moment a click is caught, then assembles them into a report built for the review process.

Illustrative report

What a report contains

Two layers: the summary a reviewer reads, and the rows they check.

The PDF summary groups flagged events by campaign and pattern, with totals and the plain-language reason for each group. The CSV carries every individual event with its identifiers, so the platform can match each one against its own logs.

Screenshots of the relevant dashboard view are included where they help, for example when a placement or a burst is easier to see than to describe.

Per-event evidence

Nine fields, written the moment a click is caught.

Captured at detection, not reconstructed later, so the record reflects what the engine saw at the time.

01Event IDA unique reference you can quote in a dispute
02TimestampUTC to the millisecond, click and detection time
03Campaign and ad groupExactly where the charge was incurred
04Click IDThe platform's own identifier, GCLID or FBCLID
05IP and /24 rangeThe address and the subnet it belongs to
06ASN and network typeConsumer ISP, mobile carrier, hosting or proxy
07Device fingerprintA hashed identifier, never raw personal data
08Pattern matchedThe plain-language reason plus the signals that fired
09Score and costThe risk score and what the click was billed at

Where the process ends

We build the case. The platform makes the call.

Maddet handles

  • Detecting and recording each invalid event
  • Grouping events by campaign and pattern
  • Formatting the report for the platform's review
  • Tracking which periods have been submitted

The ad platform decides

  • Whether the activity qualifies as invalid under its policy
  • Whether a credit or refund is issued, and how much
  • The timeline for its review
  • Maddet does not issue refunds itself

Exposure estimate

Last month's invalid clicks are still disputable. Their evidence needs to exist first.

Enter what you spend on paid media each month. The slip shows the range typically lost to invalid traffic at that level. The audit replaces the range with your real figure.
